Jennifer Heisler Joins the American Red Cross as Regional Communications Officer

New position to oversee communications for Palmetto SC Region of the Red Cross
CHARLESTON, SC – The Palmetto South Carolina Region of the American Red Cross has named Jennifer Heisler as its Regional Communications Officer. Ms. Heisler brings more than 15 years of communications, marketing, and public affairs experience to the Red Cross.

Ms. Heisler will be in charge of internal and external communication strategies supporting the American Red Cross and its key initiatives throughout South Carolina.
Previously, Ms. Heisler owned a small business focused on strategic planning, community involvement, and communications services for-profit and non-profit organizations in South Carolina. She is also a volunteer Public Affairs Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and assists Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center with their annual “I believe…” campaign.
In South Carolina, the American Red Cross, on average, responds to a disaster every four hours. Because of volunteers and financial assistance from the community, the Red Cross was able to help over 7,000 individuals affected by disasters, primarily home fires, in S.C. last year.
