Jenny Scott of First Citizens is Promoted to Vice President and Audit Manager

COLUMBIA, SC – May 8, 2008 – First Citizens is pleased to announce the promotion of Jenny Scott from senior auditor to vice president and audit manager. In this role, she manages one of two teams that perform internal audits of the organization’s home office departments, branches, and subsidiaries, including a registered broker-dealer.

Scott is a graduate of Furman University with a bachelors degree in accounting and holds a masters of accountancy from the University of South Carolina. She has been with First Citizens since 2005. Prior to joining First Citizens, Scott held auditor positions at Elliott Davis, LLC. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified internal auditor (CIA) and also holds a Series 7 General Securities Representative license. She is second vice president of the Palmetto Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Scott also is a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team-In-Training and a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church.
