Jim Potts of Cross Hill Named 2025 SC Tree Farm Inspector of the Year
June 22, 2025The Forestry Association of South Carolina has announced that Jim Potts, owner of Potts Forestry in Cross Hill, has been named the 2025 South Carolina Tree Farm Inspector of the Year by the South Carolina Tree Farm Committee.
The annual award recognizes a forestry professional who has demonstrated outstanding service and commitment to the SC Tree Farm program, part of the national American Tree Farm System. Inspectors play a critical role in ensuring private forests meet sustainable forestry standards and in advising landowners on responsible forest management practices.
“Congratulations to Jim Potts with Potts Forestry, Cross Hill, SC,” the association stated in a recent announcement. “He has been named 2025 SC Tree Farm Inspector of the Year by the South Carolina Tree Farm Committee.”
As a forestry consultant and certified Tree Farm inspector, Potts helps landowners across South Carolina manage their forests for long-term health and productivity.
