Joanna Hornets Announce 2026 Home Schedule as Historic Return to Joanna Nears
April 14, 2026After more than 60 years away, baseball is officially coming home to Joanna.
The Joanna Hornets have released their 2026 home game schedule, marking a major milestone in the return of collegiate summer baseball to historic Historic Joanna Stadium.
Set to compete in the Blue Ridge League, the Hornets’ inaugural home season will bring a full slate of summer baseball action back to the iconic ballpark, rekindling a tradition many in the community have waited decades to see restored.
The announcement was shared by The Joanna Way with the message: “After more than 60 years… Joanna, we’re coming home.”
The return of the Joanna Hornets is the latest chapter in the ongoing revitalization efforts led by The Joanna Project, the nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring Historic Joanna Stadium and preserving the town’s rich textile baseball heritage.

- May 30 – Greenwood Flying Monkeys (1:00 p.m.)
- May 31 – Klutch Collegiate
- June 7 – Greenwood Flying Monkeys
- June 9 – Greenwood Flying Monkeys
- June 14 – Greenwood Flying Monkeys
- June 19 – Spartanburg County Peaches
- June 21 – Davie Crocketts
- June 25 – Spartanburg County Peaches
- June 28 – Spartanburg County Peaches
- July 7 – Kingsmen Baseball
- July 10 – Greenwood Flying Monkeys
- July 14 – Klutch Collegiate
- July 16 – Spartanburg County Peaches
- July 19 – Unwharrie Wampus Cats
- July 23 – Queen City Corndogs
- July 25 – Spartanburg County Peaches
Weekday games (Monday–Friday) are scheduled for 5:30 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday games will begin at 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

For longtime residents and baseball fans, the Hornets’ return represents more than just a schedule release—it signals the rebirth of a treasured hometown tradition and a significant step forward in the restoration of one of South Carolina’s most historic baseball venues.
