The Assistant Director for Leadership & Services supports community engagement and leadership development through the coordination of volunteer service opportunities and leadership programming and oversight of related policies and procedures. This position manages the Alternative Breaks program and serves as the primary advisor to ODK and the student service organization, IMPACT.
• Design and implement high impact learning experiences that educate and empower students to lead ethically and effectively. This includes coordination of workshops and retreats for the general student population, in addition to cohort-based experiences. Serves as advisor to ODK circle.
• Maintains a database and promotes service opportunities for students, student organizations, and instructors. Identifies service projects in the local community. Manages the tracking service of volunteer hours of students and student organizations. Coordinates Spartan Day of Service event.
• Advises Alternative Breaks Program. Responsible for the oversight, direction, development, content and all administrative aspects of the alternative break program, including participant selection and training.
• Advises student service organization (IMPACT), developing programs, service projects, and member training. Coordinates, advises, and supervises selected student volunteer projects.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two years related experience, or a Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services, Education or related field. Requires a valid driver’s license and good driving record. A successful background check is required.

Salary:
$19.83 per hour
