The carpenter, under the general supervision from Facility Services Leader and Electrician performs building renovations, related projects and necessary repairs for the USC Upstate campus. Perform assigned preventive maintenance and maintenance as required.

• Performs interior and exterior carpentry work involved in the construction, remodeling, repair and general maintenance of buildings and facilities. Documents actions taken, materials and labor hours on work requests.
• Assist other trades in performing work. Documents actions taken, materials and labor hours on work requests.
• Performs assigned preventive maintenance duties. Documents actions taken, materials and labor hours on work requests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma and 5 years experience in specialized trades area; or in a diversified building or construction activity. Negative pre-employment drug screen required. Good driving record, valid driver’s license and successful background check are required.

Preferred Qualifications: Ten years experience in building maintenance/ construction is preferred.

Salary: $32,662 – $38,973; Salary commensurate with education and experience.
