Duties
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring menus meet dietary guidelines and client preferences
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, utilizing proper knife skills and cooking techniques
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen
• Support catering events and special meal services, ensuring timely and attractive presentation of dishes
• Serve meals to residents or guests with professionalism and courtesy, maintaining excellent food service standards
• Maintain inventory levels, monitor food supplies, and assist with food storage to minimize waste
• Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
Qualifications
• Previous experience in dietary services, dietary aide roles, or kitchen environments within healthcare, restaurant, or food industry settings
• Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety protocols
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Experience with food handling, serving, catering, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Prior restaurant or culinary experience is highly desirable
