Provide nursing services within scope of licensure, certification and South Carolina state laws to students, faculty, and staff at USC Upstate in our outpatient facility. Work collaboratively with nurse practitioner staff in providing wellness care, sexual health care, acute care, and mental health services for the student body. Provide inclusive, developmentally appropriate care, maintain a commitment to excellence, and support the mission and philosophy of USC Upstate.
• Prepares patients to see provider, takes vital signs and does brief patient history and assessment, updates medications, allergies and other requested information. Communicate with provider any critical information from intake.
• Performs procedures within the scope of practice, including but not limited to point of care specimen collection and testing, phlebotomy, immunizations, TSTs, medication administration, and other tasks in accordance with clinic protocols.
• Assists with the preparation and completion of referrals, prior authorizations, medication refills, medical records, and other items.
• Assist with receiving and returning phone calls and appointment scheduling.
• Maintain medication and supplies for designated area, removing expired supplies and communicating needs in accordance with clinic protocols.
• Assist with immunization records documentation, processing, patient education and related activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Current license in good standing as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the State of South Carolina and current certification in CPR. Two years experience as an LPN working in primary care, internal medicine, or acute care setting required. Successfully background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in women’s health a plus.

Salary: $20 – $24 per hour
