Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who no longer wants a full-time workload but still wants your clinical skills to make a meaningful difference?

Smith Medical Clinic is seeking a compassionate healthcare provider for approximately 8 hours per week at our Georgetown location. The schedule may be worked as one full day or two afternoons per week.

You’ll provide primary care to low-income, uninsured adults who might otherwise have nowhere to turn for healthcare. Our patients often have multiple chronic conditions, so strong experience treating and managing Type 2 diabetes is essential.

This position may be ideal for a semi-retired provider, someone with a flexible schedule, or a clinician who wants to add one deeply rewarding day of work each week.

Qualifications include:
• Current South Carolina Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• Primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine experience
• Strong chronic disease management skills, particularly in diabetes
• A compassionate, practical approach to caring for underserved patients
• Ability to work independently as part of a collaborative healthcare team
