SRO/Master Patrol

The City of Clinton Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for the Full-Time School Resource Officer position. Under occasional supervision, establishes and maintains a police presence on assigned school campuses to promote a positive attitude toward law enforcement and to reduce juvenile crime through counseling and education. Performs routine police work by responding as needed to emergency and non-emergency situations as a police officer. Other duties as required. Reports to the assigned supervisor.

Requirements: Requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) Applicant must be at least 21 years of age. (2) Applicant must have a valid SC driver’s license and a good driving record. (3) Must be physically and psychologically able to meet the demands of the job and remain calm in stressful situations (4) Position requirements include, but are not limited to, occasional strenuous physical exertion, ability to interpret technical/legal information, good judgment, and good oral/written communication skills with K-12 age group. (5) Must successfully pass all pre-employment and background screenings to include drug screening and psychological assessment. (6) This is a non-exempt position. Starting Salary Range: $51,738 per year. DOQ/DOE
