St. Frances Animal Center is looking for an energetic, motivated, and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a shelter-based clinic in Georgetown, South Carolina, focused on high-volume spay/neuter services as well as a small public community clinic. Our mission is rooted in animal welfare—preventing suffering, providing a safe haven for animals in need, and supporting the rehabilitation, care, and adoption of hundreds of animals each year.

What You’ll Do:
• Provide basic animal care, including safe handling and restraint
• Administer vaccinations and medications
• Draw blood and run in-house lab work (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal tests)
• Take radiographs (X-rays)
• Place IV catheters and administer fluids
• Monitor patients under anesthesia
• Prepare surgical packs and assist with procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records and notes
• Support clients with professionalism and compassion
What We’re Looking For:
• Previous veterinary or surgical experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate!)
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Compassion, integrity, and attention to detail
• Good physical health; ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Reliable transportation
• Strong customer service and communication skills
