Joe’s Place Bookstore to celebrate National Independent Bookstore Day

April 23, 2019

Join Joe’s Place Bookstore in celebrating Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday, April 27.

The all-day event kicks off with a special brunch option from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and ends with Open Mic starting at 7 p.m. Joe’s Place will also have select merchandise throughout the store 10 percent off (excluding Indie merchandise, sale items, artwork and items on consignment). Those coming to help celebrate can enter to win a prize pack filled with books and other goodies from Joe’s Place.

“This is the fifth-year celebration of Indie Bookstore Day as well as our fifth year in business and we wanted to create a day filled with fun events,” said Becky Hendrich, manager of Joe’s Place Bookstore. “Everyone is invited to come hang out and enjoy some food, fun, and music.”

Independent Bookstore Day is a one-day national party that takes place at indie bookstores across the country on the last Saturday in April. In addition to all the fun stuff, there are exclusive books and literary items that you can only get on that day. Not before. Not after. Not online.
