Joe’s Place to offer Yoga in the Yard

June 24, 2019

Joe’s Place Bookstore will be turning over their lawn to registered nurse and yoga teacher Craig Metcalf for an hour of relaxation on the last Saturday in June.

“Yoga in the Yard is a rejuvenating one-hour session designed to soothe and instill mindfulness,” Metcalf said. “During the session, participants will gain a greater understanding of the physiology of yoga and how it can promote health and wellness.”

Craig Metcalf, BSN, RN, RYT, is a Registered Nurse and Registered Yoga Teacher. He has been teaching yoga and meditation at various locations across Upstate, South Carolina for over 11 years. As a nurse, Craig enjoys sharing with yoga students the anatomic and physiologic benefits of these ancient Eastern practices, helping participants to lead happier and healthier lives.

Located at 2 Williams Street in the Pettigru District of the award-winning downtown Greenville, Joe’s Place is known for its collection of rare, used and new books. However, the two-story location has built an ambience around the artwork adorning the walls; its baked goods and monthly events ranging from trivia nights to wine tastings to book clubs.

Yoga in the Yard costs $5 to attend and starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29. Perfect for both yoga beginners and the more advanced, guests will leave this class empowered with new knowledge and a deeper sense of inner peace
