John Cobb appointed Executive Director Early Childhood/Elementary Learning Community

Charleston County School District (CCSD) announces that John E. Cobb has been appointed Executive Director Early Childhood/Elementary Learning Community. Cobb has served as Interim Executive Director Early Childhood/Elementary Learning Community during the 2015-2016 school year after previously serving as Principal at Drayton Hall Elementary School since 2004.

Throughout his career in education, Cobb has served as Principal at Northside Elementary and Assistant Principal at Forest Circle Middle in Colleton County, and Assistant Principal at Springfield Elementary in CCSD. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Herbert Lehman University in New York, and a Master’s in Elementary Education Administration and an Ed.S. in Education Leadership from The Citadel.

“Mr. Cobb has distinguished himself as a strong leader in the Early Childhood and Elementary Learning Community,” said CCSD Superintendent Gerrita Postlewait. “We’re excited about his vision for and leadership of our elementary schools.”
