John Hamrick joins The YMCA of Greater Spartanburg

The YMCA of Greater Spartanburg recently opened a new facility, the Willis Road Family YMCA, and welcomed John Hamrick as its new Branch Executive Director.
John comes to Spartanburg after spending the last 11 years with the Caine Halter YMCA in Greenville SC. During his time there he worked primarily in advancing the Health & Wellness and was instrumental in the development of program offerings including the high intensity functional training program, small group training and the Exercise is Medicine program. In Spartanburg he will also be acting as the Association Healthy Living Director to advance the wellness offerings at all the YMCA of Greater Spartanburg locations. Before beginning his career with the Y he graduated from Anderson University with a Degree in Kinesiology.
He is thrilled to have the opportunity to lead this new branch and looks forward to serving the needs of the Westside community in new and exciting ways.
