Join the Summer Reading Fair at Laurens Libraries—A Renaissance Adventure Awaits
May 23, 2025Hear ye, hear ye! The Laurens County Library System invites young squires, noble families, and readers of all ages to embark on a magical journey with the 2025 Summer Reading Program: The Knights of the Reading Round Table—a summer filled with imagination, fun, and literary adventure.
The festivities begin on Monday, June 9, with a special Renaissance Party Kickoff at both branches:

Laurens Library: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Clinton Library: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Guests will enjoy crafts, games, treats, and medieval merriment to start the summer season off right.
Free Movie Nights
This year’s lineup features two beloved classics—Shrek and The Princess Bride—screened at the newly built Clinton Library. Each movie night includes themed crafts and light refreshments:

Shrek: Wednesday, June 12, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

The Princess Bride: Wednesday, July 17, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Special Performances
Prepare to be amazed throughout June and July with appearances from:

The crowd-favorite Columbia Marionette Theatre, returning with enchanting puppet performances for all ages
Trivia and Crafts Galore
The summer wouldn’t be complete without creative crafting sessions and an evening of themed trivia to test your knowledge and earn your place at the round table.

Sign-up begins June 2 at both the Laurens and Clinton libraries. A full schedule of events is available at your local branch.
