Jon Michael Williamson, AIA returns to Garvin Design Group

March 31, 2020

Jon Michael Williamson, AIA, returns to Garvin Design Group this week, increasing the firm’s number of registered architects to 11. Williamson rejoins the firm after a four-year stint at a design-build firm in Lancaster where he served as a Project Manager/Project Architect. Prior to his time there, he was an architectural intern in the Garvin Design Group Studio for three years.

A double graduate of Clemson University, Williamson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a Masters in Architecture. His professional experience spans multiple design firms and includes projects in education, corrections, and community and municipality spaces. Jon Michael’s extensive work with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software adds this invaluable skill to Garvin Design Group’s current offerings. Beyond the studio, Williamson is a member of the American Institute of Architects – Greater Columbia section, and enjoys spending time with his family and taking his son hunting, fishing, and to Clemson football games.

“We are so glad to have Jon Michael back as part of our firm,” said Scott Garvin, Garvin Design Group’s President. “He was an outstanding architectural intern many years ago, and we always hoped his professional path would lead him back to Garvin Design Group. We are so fortunate to welcome him back as an Architect.”
