Joseph Guido Appointed to City of Columbia Board of Zoning Appeals- Form Based Codes

COLUMBIA, SC – Joseph Guido, AIA, has been appointed to serve the City of Columbia as a member of the Board of Zoning Appeals – Form Based Codes (BOZA-FBC). Joe’s 3-year term began in April 2015.

Joe is a Project Architect at CDA Architects, with more than 20 years architectural design experience, 16 of which are with CDA Architects. In addition, he owns and manages numerous rental properties throughout the Midlands. Joe has a comprehensive understanding both the commercial and residential development process, enabling him to keep the overall vision in mind while attending to the details.

The purpose of Board of Zoning Appeals – Form Based Codes is to hear and decide appeals when it is alleged that there is an error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the zoning administrator or the Consolidated Review Committee in the enforcement of the code when the property is governed by a form based code. Members of this newly-formed City board include an architect, an attorney, a landscape architect and a real estate professional.

As a long-time Columbia resident, Joe hopes to positively impact the Greater Columbia community through his contributions to the BOZA-FBC.
