June 17, 2025Evening market to feature more than 20 local vendors and celebrate Greenville’s creativity community
The Judson Mill District, in partnership with Judson Mill Play Café, is launching Makers at the Mill, a new event that brings together the Upstate’s most creative makers for an evening of shopping, connection, and community. Scheduled for Thursday, June 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, the family-friendly event will feature handmade goods, live music, art in action, and games in the unique historic setting of Judson Mill’s campus, formerly the largest textile mill in Greenville County.
More than 20 vendors will be onsite along the sidewalks of the Warehouse building, Annex building, and in the West Courtyard, showcasing a wide variety of handmade items including jewelry, ceramics, candles, home décor, soaps, specialty foods, and more. The event will feature hands-on art activities for kids, a selection of young “mini makers” selling their creations, and a t-shirt giveaway for the first 100 visitors to arrive.
Guests can also enjoy live music throughout the evening, along with food and beverages from Judson Mill tenants Mill City Kitchen and Magnetic South Brewery.
“Makers at the Mill is more than just a market—it’s a celebration of the creativity and craftsmanship that make the Upstate such a special place,” said Austin Motes, owner of Play Café. “We’re proud to bring together this talented group of makers and provide a space where the community can gather, shop small, and enjoy everything Judson Mill has to offer.”
Participating vendors include a variety of popular local makers, including:
Parking is available onsite, including a newly constructed lot on the front side of the property facing Easley Bridge Road. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and explore Judson Mill District’s restaurants, brewery, and retail offerings.
“Makers at the Mill captures what Judson Mill District is all about—fostering community, championing local artists, and creating spaces where people can come together in meaningful ways,” said Ken Reiter, co-developer of Judson Mill District and president of Belmont Sayre. “It’s rewarding to see this historic campus serve as a platform for creativity and connection across Greenville.”

About Judson Mill District
Judson Mill District is a sustainable and vibrant mixed-use community offering soulful city living in Greenville, SC. Once the largest textile mill in Greenville County and an integral part of Greenville’s Mill Crescent wrapping the city’s west side, Judson Mill District is now home to office, restaurant, brewery, retail, entertainment, and residential spaces. In 2019, Taft Family Ventures, a distinguished real estate investment and development firm based in Greenville, NC, joined with Belmont Sayre, a privately held real estate investment and development company based in Chapel Hill, NC, to transform the historic 800,000-square-foot textile mill that closed in 2015. While maintaining its vision to preserve the soul, spirit, and features of the historic mill, Judson Mill District utilizes a sustainable approach in revitalizing its 36-acre campus, which now fosters a vibrant and affordable community where people live, work, and play.
