Julie Dacus Joins Renewable Water Resources as Purchasing Manager

GREENVILLE, SC – December 12, 2012 – Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) welcomes Julie Dacus of Moore, SC, as its new Purchasing Manager. In this position, Dacus will perform a variety of financial and administrative duties involved in the procurement of goods and services necessary for the efficient operation of ReWa.

Preparing, administering and ensuring efficient use of the annual department budget; forecasting funds needed for equipment, materials and supplies; monitoring and approving operating capital project expenditures; reviewing contracts and facilitating communication between contractors and legal counsel to finalize contracts; facilitating interviews with potential contractors/firms; and performing related administrative and supervisory work as assigned are just some of her numerous responsibilities as Purchasing Manager.

Prior to becoming the Purchasing Manager at ReWa, Dacus worked in the Engineering Department as a Senior Engineering Technician for 10 years managing the design, development and implementation of collection system construction and rehabilitation projects. Dacus also spent two years working at the Mauldin Road WWTP as an operator. In addition, while attending college, Dacus worked in the Pretreatment Department through the Greenville Tech cooperative Engineering Technology Program.
