November 10, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC  – After the recent consolidation with Junior Achievement of Coastal South Carolina, Junior Achievement of Central South Carolina’s board has chosen a new name that truly represents all 34 counties served by Junior Achievement.  With assistance from board members and the national brand strategist at Junior Achievement USA, Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina was crafted.

Mze Wilkins, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said “I’m excited about the expansion and name change, it reflects our presence in 74% of the state.  We are looking forward to expanding our financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship reach to better serve the students of Greater South Carolina.”

Casey Pash, President and CEO of Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina, stated that “It only makes sense to move forward with a name change.  We have acquired more territory and our new name signifies the importance of the JA program growth in the state. We look forward to inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in the global economy.”
