Junior League of Columbia to host 2nd annual pickleball tournament supporting community impact

April 14, 2026

The Junior League of Columbia (JLC) invites the community to grab their paddles and join in for its 2nd Annual Pickleball Tournament, presented by ProMotion Rehab and Sports Medicine, taking place April 24–25, 2026 at the Cayce Pickleball Complex.

This exciting two-day event combines friendly competition with a meaningful cause, as proceeds benefit the Junior League of Columbia’s mission to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration and training.

The weekend will kick off on Friday, April 24, with the “Play It Forward” Kickoff Party from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. Attendees will enjoy open play, heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a raffle featuring exciting prizes, all while connecting with fellow pickleball enthusiasts.

Tournament play will take place on Saturday, April 25, featuring single-gender doubles and mixed doubles competitions open to players of varying skill levels. Registration is available for one or both events, offering participants the chance to compete, connect, and give back.

“We are thrilled to bring the community together again for a weekend of fun, fitness, and philanthropy,” said Libby Mathias, co-chair for the tournament. “This tournament not only highlights the growing popularity of pickleball but also supports our mission to empower women leaders and strengthen our community.”

Registration is open through April 20, 2026. Community members are also invited to attend the kickoff party or support the event through sponsorships and donations.
