Justin Pepper Birthday Breakfast and Toy Drive

November 30, 2015

CHAPIN, SC – The Justin Pepper Foundation is hosting their 9th Annual Birthday Breakfast and Toy Drive on Saturday, December 5th from 9 AM to 11 AM at Lake Murray Presbyterian Church, located at 2721 Dutch Fork Road in Chapin.  This year the foundation will provide a free pancake breakfast as a thank you to the community and to officially kick-off their annual toy drive.  The toy drive which originated in 2007, keeps a tradition going that was started by Justin Pepper when he was 6 years old of donating his birthday gifts to Thornwell Children’s Home in Clinton, South Carolina.  A tradition he continued for the last 5 years of his life.

Through this toy drive, toys are donated to several local agencies, which include Thornwell Children’s Home, Newberry Boys Farm, GOoD Works, Christgate, We Care, Kingdom Builders, and the Northwest YMCA.  These toys are not just for Christmas.  They are used for birthdays and other special events throughout the year as well.

If you are unable to attend the breakfast, you may drop off toys and gift cards to the following locations between November 30 and December 18th:

The Greater Chapin Chamber Office, Crooked Creek Park, Lake Murray Presbyterian Church Office, Farm Boys BBQ in Chapin, and the YMCA Northwest on Kinnerly Road.
