Katherine DeMoura joins McMillan Pazdan Smith as regional business development leader

McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture welcomed Katherine DeMoura in a new client relationship role. DeMoura was previously Director of Business Development for civil engineering firm Davis & Floyd for the past five years. She also has extensive city management experience, having previously served in Administrator roles for both the City of Pickens and Town of Mount Pleasant where she focused on economic development, public engagement and capital funding.

“Katherine represents a practitioner’s knowledge of the needs of institutional leaders through her previous service as a city manager,” Principal Karen Calhoun said. “We are excited to add a talented and strategically minded individual to the MPS team to support our clients throughout the region.”

DeMoura will be based in Charleston with involvement extending along the coastal and Pee Dee areas and support statewide in the Government sector. “I love how MPS designs facilities that shape communities and look forward to the community-building aspects of my role,” DeMoura said. She is a member of the International City Managers Association and the South Carolina Economic Developer’s Association, among several other professional affiliations.

DeMoura is a graduate of Clemson University, earning her Bachelor’s in Political Science and Government in 2007 and a Master’s of Public Administration in 2009.
