Kathy ‘kp’ Papadimitriou appointed new CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston

CHARLESTON, SC – The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston announces that the Board of Directors has appointed Kathy ‘kp’ Papadimitriou as Chief Executive Officer effective May 30, 2017.

‘kp’ grew up in Charleston. Following her college experiences, she specialized in the Hospitality and Live Event Industry. With over 30 years of experience, she matriculated to running some of the top event companies across the US, Canada, Europe and the Pacific Rim on a day to day basis. Her creative and operational expertise has been instrumental in the design and execution of numerous award-winning International programs to include multiple Sponsors’ Olympic Hospitality Programs, the NBA All Star events, Board of Director meetings, corporate product launches, top agent incentives, corporate training programs and fundraising events. Her clientele list includes many of the Fortune 500 brands.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Charleston is a 32 bedroom home where families stay while their children undergo extensive medical treatment. Within our walls, parents and children lead a life as normal as possible during their traumatic times without the financial burden of costly hotel, food and travel expenses.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room at MUSC provides a sanctuary within the hospital where family members can rest, read, shower or have a cup of coffee while still being only minutes away from their seriously ill child.
