KDS Commercial Properties, LLC celebrates serving the flourishing Upstate community for 20 years as a full-service brokerage, development, and investment firm with a strong team of specialists deeply committed to delivering an individualized level of service built on integrity, honesty and professionalism.
Founded in 2001 by Upstate native and real estate broker Michael Kiriakides, KDS Commercial Properties is an independent “boutique” real estate firm focused exclusively on the Upstate. Kiriakides and two partners, Mark Masaschi, CCIM and Mark Ratchford, MAI, work closely with a dedicated team of KDS brokers who specialize in land, industrial, retail, office, property management and advisory services with years of national, regional and local expertise.
“Developing and fostering long-term relationships with our clients is why I started KDS and have intentionally kept it independently owned,” said Mike Kiriakides, KDS Founding Partner and BIC. “My appreciation and love for this thriving community and steadfast commitment to see that our clients are served by others who share my passion to develop long-lasting relationships with every client is key to our growth and this important anniversary.”
KDS’ strong Greenville roots, solid personal relationships and a commitment to supporting Greenville’s smart and strategic growth were instrumental in Atlanta-based developers, Roca Point, being brought to the table and later selected to redevelop Greenville County Square, a high-profile 32-acre parcel in downtown Greenville currently being transformed with a $1 billion investment.
“The massive Greenville County Square project will certainly be another transformative step forward in keeping with the values of scale, green space, accessibility and public interaction that continue to make Greenville one of the most desirable small cities in America,” said Mark Masaschi, CCIM, KDS Senior Partner. “The KDS team is dedicated to strengthening Greenville’s legacy by connecting capital, expertise and opportunity, and we’re proud to be a part of the team redefining one of the largest downtown projects.”
Larry Webb was Kiriakides’ first business partner, and he was instrumental in helping the firm grow in its early years and for establishing KDS’ support of ‘Meals on Wheels,’ a non-profit serving senior citizens with nutritious meals, personal interaction and independence. In 2007, Webb helped start ‘Meals on Wheels’ signature cycling event – Wheels for Meals Charity Ride – when he was board chair, which has grown into one of Meals on Wheels largest fundraisers and an event KDS’ employees actively support annually with a company bike team.
“From charitable donations to organizing annual events, we remain invested in making a positive impact both personally and professionally in the Upstate,” said Mark Ratchford, MAI, KDS Managing Partner. “We are passionate about strengthening this community and so are many like-minded business leaders, which makes the Upstate so special.”
KDS Commercial Properties company office is located in the Verdae mixed-use development at Hollingsworth Park in the Legacy Square Building at 340 Rocky Slope Road. KDS has been involved in helping grow this area of Greenville by developing several parcels of land into medical office space and representing investors, business owners and tenants who call this active and growing part of Greenville home.
