June 15, 2023

The Keep Laurens County Beautiful (KLCB) Community Champion Award recognizes a business, organization, or individual volunteer that has initiated or actively engaged in an activity that has significantly contributed to the success of the KLCB program.

The recipient of the 2023 2nd quarter award is Andy Harp.

The Keep Laurens County Beautiful affiliate coordinator expresses gratitude for individuals like Andy, stating, “We are incredibly thankful for people like Andy who are unwavering in their commitment to keeping our community beautiful. Their dedication and efforts to a cleaner more beautiful Laurens County do not go unnoticed. If you know someone who should be recognized please let us know!”

Harp is the owner of U CAll-I HAUL Sc Junk Removal and Demolition. He received the award for his outstanding efforts in property and roadside cleanup, with a focus on recycling metal waste. Harp and his dedicated crew work hard to remove thousands of pounds of junk, keeping Laurens clean and beautiful. He also prevents books from ending up in the landfill; he takes them to the local little library and uses his proceeds to donate to local food banks.
