Kelly Perritt Joins Providence Hospitals as Marketing & Communications Director

COLUMBIA, SC – Kelly Perritt will join Providence Hospitals as marketing and communications director beginning Sept. 8. In this role, she will coordinate all internal and external communications, including online strategies, marketing and promotions, and public relations efforts.

Perritt has more than 10 years of health care communications experience including social media, media relations, community relations, business development and marketing. Most recently, she served as the assistant director of marketing and communications for the Georgetown Hospital System in Georgetown, South Carolina, where she oversaw all marketing and communications efforts for the two-hospital system. A number of her marketing campaigns and initiatives have been recognized with a variety of industry awards. She has also worked as a marketing administrator for Fox Marketing, a marketing and advertising firm in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and in community relations for the Shepard Community Blood Center in Augusta, Georgia.

She received a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a master’s degree in mass communication from the University of South Carolina. She is currently working toward a doctorate in health care administration from Capella University and expects to graduate in spring 2015.

Perritt is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development and the Carolinas Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society.
