November 14, 2019

Renowned businessman Kevin Harrington will address nearly 600 local executives, educational leaders, and emerging entrepreneurs in the Gelardi Student Center at Sherman College on Friday, November 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. His talk will focus on strategies for entrepreneurs including positioning yourself as a key person of influence, standing out in the marketplace and disrupting an industry.

Harrington has been a successful entrepreneur for more 40 years. An original “Shark” on the Emmy-winning TV show, Shark Tank, he is also the Inventor of the Infomercial, As Seen On TV pioneer, co-founder of the Electronic Retailers Association (ERA) and co-founding board member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).

Harrington’s business relationship with Doctor of Chiropractic and Sherman College supporter Stan Pierce Jr., D.C., B.C.A.O., of the EPIC health care system, led to his interest in addressing future entrepreneurs at the college.

During the program, Harrington will speak for about 40 minutes and Pierce for about 20 minutes, with a 15-minute question-and-answer session to follow. Harrington will remain on the Sherman College campus for a private luncheon and is scheduled to speak to several business classes and student organizations.

This event has very limited seating. Those wishing to attend should contact Roberta Thomas in the Sherman College Office of the President at [email protected] or 864-578-8770, ext. 227.
