Kid’s Day of Lexington, Saturday, April 30

LEXINGTON, SC – The 16th annual Kid’s Day of Lexington will take place Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Virginia Hylton Park in Lexington. Kid’s Day, hosted by Palmetto Chiropractic Center, is free and open to the public and is intended to educate families on health, safety and environmental issues. Free food and drink are available. Kid’s Day of Lexington has recently attracted more than 20,000 attendees.

“Our community needed a family event and we wanted to make it a day of learning mixed with fun,” said Dr. Jason Yoder of Palmetto Chiropractic Center. “Kid’s Day has grown each year into a wonderful event for families to spend time together while learning and playing without emptying their wallets.”

Additionally, families will find plenty of entertainment, including characters Ronald McDonald, USC’s Cocky, Clemson Tiger, Sir Purr from Carolina Panthers, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Walter’s Pals from Bi-Lo, Smokey the Bear, Chick-fil-A Cow and many more. Kid’s Day will also feature face painting, dunking booths and more. B106 will broadcast live from Kid’s Day. Krispy Kreme doughnuts, hotdogs, Kona Ice, Waffle House waffles, Menchies’ frozen yogurt, Bimbo Bakeries, Salsarita’s chips and salsa and Jelly Belly jellybeans will also be available for families—all for free.

“We’ve been honored to host Kid’s Day of Lexington for so many years,” said Dr. Jud Heldreth of Palmetto Chiropractic Center. “We always have an amazing turnout and this year, we’re excited to offer more giveaways, food, entertainment, and of course safety info for families, than ever before. It’s always a fun spring day in Lexington at Virginia Hylton Park.”

100 percent of all proceeds raised by Kid’s Day of Lexington will benefit the Nancy K. Perry Children’s Shelter and Dickerson Center for Children.
