Kids’ College and Teen University 2015 Summer Camps Open for Registrations

CHARLESTON, SC – Trident Technical College Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is accepting registrations for the 2015 Kids’ College (Ages 7 to 12) and Teen University (Ages 13-16) summer camps. The innovative series at Trident Technical College which inspires, educates and engages students features fun and educational offerings in subject areas including 21st century life skills, college prep, computer technology, creative arts, culinary and pastry as well as math and science. Each camp runs for a five day period, meeting three and a half hours each day (8:30 a.m.-noon or 1-4:30 p.m.) and costs from $99 to $199 per camp. They will be offered in six locations around the Lowcountry from June 15 to Aug. 7, 2015. Almost 1,500 students participated in the 2014 programs.

  • DOWNTOWN CHARLESTON: Trident Technical College Palmer Campus will host camps for 7 to 16-year-olds from June 15-Aug. 7 at 66 Columbus St. in Downtown Charleston. Camps will be available in subject areas such as computer technology, creative arts and math and science. Offerings include: Alice 3D and Video Games (Ages 12-16); Gamestar Mechanic (Ages 9-13); Jumping into Minecraft (Ages 7-11) or (Ages 12-16); Beautiful Batiks (Ages 7-11) or (Ages 12-16); Sticks and Drums (Ages 12-16); and Science Projects to Make and Take Home (Ages 7-11).   • HOLLYWOOD: Trident Technical College St. Paul’s Parish Site will host camps for 7 to 13-year-olds from June 29-July 17 at 5231 Hwy. 165 in Hollywood. Camps will be available in computer technology and creative arts. Offerings include: Gamestar Mechanic (Ages 9-13) and Awesome Artist (Ages 7-11).   • MONCKS CORNER: Trident Technical College Berkeley Campus will host camps for 7 to 16-year-olds from July 20-24 at 1001 S. Live Oak Dr. (Highway 17-A) in Moncks Corner. Camps will be available in computer technology including Gamestar Mechanic (Ages 9-13); Jumping into Minecraft (Ages 7-11); Minecraft Art (Ages 12-16); and Video Game Programming (Ages 12-16).   • MOUNT PLEASANT: Trident Technical College Mount Pleasant Campus will host camps for 7 to 16-year-olds from June 15-July 31 at 1125 John Dilligard Lane in Mount Pleasant. Camps will be available in subject areas such as 21st century life skills, college prep, computer technology, creative arts as well as math and science.
