Kyle Watson joins Baker, Ravenel & Bender

Attorney Kyle Watson has joined Baker, Ravenel & Bender as an associate.

He joins the firm as a litigator, bringing extensive experience from his participation in trial advocacy competitions in law school. He will be practicing in the areas of insurance defense, including automobile liability, premises liability, product liability, and dram shop liability. He will also provide representation in criminal cases.

Kyle, originally from Winston-Salem, N.C., received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015, having majored in criminal justice and minored in sociology. He received his juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law at the end of 2018.

In law school he made the Dean’s List, and received the D. Reece Williams III Trial Advocacy Award for winning a mock trial competition, the Best Advocate Award in the Buffalo, N.Y., competition, and two Most Professional Awards in the national William Daniel competition. He also received CALI Awards for Excellence in Advanced Evidence: Law and Strategy, Trial Advocacy, and Torts.

He also worked at Baker, Ravenel & Bender while still in law school.
