Lander to Host Popular Voiceover Actor Cristina Milizia

Lander University’s Department of Media and Communication will host voiceoverartist Cristina Milizia on Tuesday, February 18 at 3:30 p.m. in the Barksdale Recital Hall (Room 250) in the Abney Cultural Center. The event is free and open to the public.

We are excited to have Cristina Milizia, an award-winning bilingual voiceover actress speak at Lander,” said Monique Sacay-Bagwell, professor of speech and performance, and host for the event. “She is a very popular and respected voiceover artist in the business with a ton of animation, videogames, toys and films to her name, and is known for her wide range of characters.”

Additionally, Cristina is also a coach, educator and demo producer. She is one of the founding members and instructors for the Global Voiceover Academy, one of the leading training programs in the nation, known for establishing the first and now standard fair rates guide for all voiceover work,” Professor Sacay-Bagwell said.

A Voice Arts Awards Winner in 2022 for “Outstanding Animation Character, Film or TV, Best Voiceover,Milizia is most well known for her characters including Annie & Amumu on League of Legends; Poison Ivy on Cartoon Network’s DC Super Hero Girls; Jessica Cruz for LEGO DC; Carlitos on The Casagrandes; Barbie’s friend Teresa for Barbie Mattel; Baby Bottle on The Cuphead Show; and Charlene for Cartoon Network’s Victor and Valentino.
