Larry R. Shannon II, M.D. joins Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery, P.A.

Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery, PA announced that Dr. Larry R. Shannon II, MD, joined the practice as of August 1, 2022.

Dr. Shannon joins us from Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York where he was an attending neurosurgeon, assisting in the training of spine fellows, general surgery residents and medical students.

Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Dr. Shannon has 11 years of experience in spine and brain surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive and motion preserving spine surgery, as well as brain tumor surgery.

Dr. Shannon is excited to come to the Midlands and join our highly trained team of neurosurgeons. He is accepting new patients with spine or neurosurgical needs at our Downtown Columbia, Lexington, and Northeast offices.
