Laurens Academy to Honor Hall of Fame Members, State Championship Teams This Fall

With the start of another school year just around the corner, football season is once again on everyone’s mind. This fall, Laurens Academy has a few special reasons to fill the stands.
The school’s athletic department has announced two recognition events that will welcome Crusaders from every generation back to campus to celebrate the athletes and teams who helped build the school’s tradition.
The first, a Hall of Fame recognition, is set for Sept. 7. The academy will honor its Hall of Fame members during halftime of the varsity football game.
The second, a state championship team recognition, will take place Sept. 25. Laurens Academy plans to recognize every state championship team from every sport during halftime of the varsity football game.
Organizers are inviting all Hall of Fame inductees and members of any Laurens Academy state championship team to attend. Those who qualify are asked to contact Tiffany Tarver so they can be included in the recognitions. Tarver can be reached at [email protected].
The athletic department summed up the spirit of the celebration with a familiar refrain: “Once a Crusader, always a Crusader.”
