Laurens County Animal Shelter Seeks Food Donations and Forever Homes for Pets
April 16, 2025The Laurens County Animal Control Shelter is calling on the community for help during its ongoing food drive.
The shelter is also encouraging anyone looking to add a furry companion to their family to stop by and meet the pets currently available for adoption. The facility is home to a variety of dogs, each with their own unique personalities and needs.
“We have so many sweet dogs that deserve a better life,” staff said. “There are dogs that would do best as the only pet, and others that get along well with other dogs. We have high-energy pups perfect for active families, and calmer companions who are just looking to be someone’s best friend.”
Donations of dog food—dry or canned—can be dropped off at the shelter, and those interested in adopting are welcome to visit during operating hours to meet the animals. Here is a link to the shelter’s Amazon wish list.
To learn more about donating or adopting, please contact the Laurens County Animal Control Shelter or visit their social media pages for updates and photos of available pets.
Together, the community can make a difference—one bowl of food and one wagging tail at a time.
