Laurens County Assessor’s Office Launches Property Imaging Project

January 20, 2025

The Laurens County Assessor’s Office, in partnership with Palmetto Posting, Inc., is initiating a property imaging project to support the upcoming state-mandated countywide reassessment scheduled for implementation in 2026. Part of this review process includes gathering data about properties through updated images taken from public roadways. Work on this project is expected to begin on Monday, January 20th, 2025.

“As we prepare for the 2026 countywide reassessment, this imaging project is a critical step in ensuring that property data is accurate and up to date,” said G.W. Dailey, Laurens County Assessor. “Our goal is to provide fair and equitable assessments while minimizing disruptions to our residents. We appreciate the community’s cooperation as we carry out this important work.”

To ensure transparency, vehicles belonging to Palmetto Posting, Inc. will be clearly marked for easy identification. Their agents will carry official identification and an authorization letter from the Laurens County Assessor’s Office, which they will provide upon request.

The Assessor’s Office is committed to completing this project with minimal inconvenience to Laurens County residents while working toward fair and accurate property assessments.
