Laurens County Chamber of Commerce Touchdown Club 2023 Schedule Announced

July 28, 2023

School is starting and that means football season is here and so is the Lauren County Touchdown Club!

The speaker lineup for the Laurens County Touchdown Club for 2023 has been announced.

Meetings will begin on Thursday August 24th at The Ridge in Laurens.  The meetings are every other Thursday during football season and will culminate with a banquet on December 6 to recognize the All County Team, Coach of the Year, and Player of the Year.

The Touchdown Club recognizes high school football teams from Laurens County.  Clinton High Red Devils, Laurens 55 Raiders, and Laurens Academy Crusaders have all been in attendance over the years. This season the Thornwell Saints will also be acknowledged as they begin varsity football.

Each meeting features a guest speaker who is affiliated with football in some capacity. High school football coaches will also speak at every meeting and recap previous games and give insight regarding future games. Players of the week are selected based upon their performance in games for the previous week. Door prizes are awarded at every meeting and everyone in attendance has a chance to win.

The program is funded by local sponsors, but anyone can attend. Business sponsorships are available and prove to be a great way to showcase a business or service.  A yearly membership for an individual is $150 and includes lunch each week and a banquet ticket.  Lunch tickets at the door are $15 on the day of Touchdown Club.  Food is provided by local restaurants and caterers.
