Laurens County Council to Meet on Tuesday for Regularly Scheduled Meeting

May 10, 2021

Laurens County Council is will meet on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 for a regularly scheduled meeting.

Following the opening of the meeting, Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, and approval of the agenda, council will review and approve the minutes of Budget sessions 1-4 and the April 27th regular council meeting.

The rest of the agenda items can seen in the image below.

One correction to note is that the briefing by Lynne West, Laurens County Director of Registration and Elections is for District 3 not District 4. The seat for County Council District 3 was left vacant with the resignation of Garrett McDaniel who recently took a position with the Biden Administration.

Following the public hearing on Ordinance #897 – Litter Control and third reading of the same, council will vote to accept Ordinance #897 which will increase the fines and penalties for littering in Laurens County.

Like other County Council meetings, if you wish to speak at the end of the meeting during public comment time, you must sign up before the meeting starts.
