Laurens County Democratic Party Convention Outcome – March 2, 2024

The Laurens County Democratic Party held its convention at the County Library meeting room on Saturday, March 2nd. South Carolina Democratic Party 1st Vice Chair Colleen Condon and SCDP Executive Committee Member Cedric Blain-Spain were present as Parliamentarian and Observer.
The new executive committee and leadership were elected as follows: County Chair Dr. Booker T. Ingram Jr, Professor Emeritus of Political Science at Presbyterian College; 1st Vice Chair Rev. Rebecca Aiken, a minister at Tabernacle Baptist Church; 2nd Vice Chair Kelly Gallagher-Kiley, an SCDP Delegate and community organizer; and 3rd Vice Chair Morgan Norris, a wrestling coach at PC and Woodruff High School.

Some precincts have open executive committee seats, and interested individuals can attend future LCDP events to be considered for those positions.
