Laurens County Fair Foundation Awards $96,000 to Local Non-Profits

April 21, 2025

On April 15, 2024, the Laurens County Fair Foundation (LCFF) continued its tradition of giving back by awarding $96,000 in grants to local non-profit organizations. This year’s funding cycle brought in $518,084 in requests, reflecting the broad range of needs within the community.

The applications highlighted pressing challenges, including those stemming from Hurricane Helene, along with ongoing needs related to education, food insecurity, and poverty alleviation.

LCFF carries forward the legacy of the Laurens County Fair Association (LCFA) and the Laurens Exchange Club—two organizations with deep roots in supporting agriculture and charitable causes in the county. The LCFA, incorporated on August 30, 1938, played a pivotal role in backing initiatives like local 4-H clubs, Dixie Youth Baseball, and The Judge Calvin Bridges Children’s Home.

This year’s grant recipients (listed alphabetically) include:

  • American Legion Post 25
  • C4 Ministries of Laurens County (formerly Family Promise of Laurens County)
