Laurens County Gears Up for Annual Ag+Art Tour on May 17
May 14, 2025There is a lot to do this Saturday and the annual Ag & Art Tour is at the top of the list.
Get ready for a day filled with farm-fresh experiences and artistic flair as Laurens County opens its barn doors and studio gates for the 2025 Ag+Art Tour on Saturday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event is free and open to everyone.
Organized by Visit Laurens County, the tourism initiative of the Laurens County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Laurens County Administration and the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism, this event is part of a larger statewide celebration led by Clemson Extension. The South Carolina Ag+Art Tour is the largest free self-guided farm and art tour in the United States, offering visitors a one-of-a-kind chance to meet local farmers, explore working farms, witness artisan demonstrations, and experience the beauty of rural life.
Since launching in 2012, the Ag+Art Tour has drawn more than 85,000 attendees across South Carolina and is widely recognized for promoting agritourism, supporting local creatives, and inspiring community engagement.
Locally, the tour is being coordinated by Christian Taylor, Tourism Marketing Manager at the Chamber, and Courtney Stonell, Affiliate Coordinator for Keep Laurens County Beautiful. “This is a fantastic opportunity to spotlight the agricultural roots and creative talent across Laurens County,” said Taylor and Stonell. “We saw an amazing turnout last year with over 400 visitors, and we’re excited to welcome even more this time.”
