Laurens County Museum Continues Revolutionary War Battle Series with

The Laurens County Museum will continue its Revolutionary War Battle Series with a program titled “Ninety Six to Hayes Station” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the Magnolia Room.
Historian and battlefield preservationist Durant Ashmore will present the program, which traces the campaign from the Patriot siege of the Loyalist stronghold at Ninety Six to the fighting that followed in the Upstate backcountry, including Hayes Station in what is now Laurens County. The series is part of ongoing local programming tied to the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. Laurens County was the site of significant backcountry activity during the war, and the museum’s series is designed to connect those events to the places residents pass every day.
A $5 donation is suggested for non-members. Admission is free for museum members. No registration is required, and seating is first come, first served.
