Laurens County Public Libraries to Close May 23-26 for Memorial Weekend and Staff Training
May 11, 2026The Laurens County Public Library system will close both branch locations from Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day weekend and for staff training. Normal operations will resume on Wednesday, May 27.
Throughout the year, the Laurens County Public Libraries offer a wide range of programs serving children, teens, and adults across the community. From reading programs and educational workshops to special events and resource services, the library system plays an important role in the daily lives of Laurens County residents. Dedicated training days allow staff to plan, coordinate, and strengthen the programs and services they provide, ensuring the community continues to receive the best experience possible when they walk through the doors.
The Laurens Branch is located at 1017 West Main Street in Laurens and can be reached at (864) 681-7323. The Clinton Branch is located at 304 West Pitts Street in Clinton and can be reached at (864) 547-1845.
Both locations will reopen Wednesday, May 27. Residents are encouraged to plan library visits accordingly.
