Laurens County School District 56 Prepares to Launch Summer Meal Program

As summer approaches, Laurens County School District 56 is excited to announce the launch of its Summer Meals Program. Starting Monday, June 3, the district will be providing nutritious meals to all children in the community, regardless of whether they are students in the district. This initiative aims to ease the burden on families by offering free meals throughout the summer months.

SUMMER MEALS!

STARTING MONDAY, JUNE 3

Serving Locations and Times

Clinton High School

  • Days: Monday – Thursday
  • Time: 11am – 1pm
  • Meal: Lunch only
  • Note: Meals must be eaten onsite

Joanna Woodson Elementary

  • Days: Mondays
  • Time: 11am – 1pm
  • Meals: 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches for the week
  • Note: Pickup only

All children and teens aged 18 and under are eligible to receive these meals. This program is designed to support the community by ensuring that every child has access to healthy and delicious meals during the summer break.

Families are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to lighten their grocery bills and reduce their workload. The Summer Meals Program is a great way for children to enjoy balanced meals and stay nourished throughout the summer.
