Laurens County Sheriff’s Office to Host Third Annual Jail & Bail

April 28, 2021

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office Third Annual Jail and Bail event is scheduled for May 21st from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Proceeds from the fundraiser are used to help provide Christmas to hundreds of Laurens County children.

“This fundraiser is our most successful event each year since we started it,” said Courtney Snow, Public Information Officer for the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office.  “It’s a fun way to raise funds to support the LCSO Christmas for Kids program and we truly appreciate the support of everyone.”

This year’s Jail & Bail event will take place on the grounds of the historic courthouse in downtown Laurens.  You can “turn in” willing family members, friends and coworkers for $20. Or even better, turn yourself in! To get out of jail, willing participants will need to raise at least $100.

The event has raised $10,000-$15,000 in prior years and the hope is that the community will be just as generous this year and participate in this fun and worthwhile event.

For more information about the event contact Courtney Snow at (864)681-4509 or [email protected].  Day of event she can be reached at (864)871-8497.

There aren’t many good reasons to go to jail and make bail, but this is one of them.
