Laurens County State Delegation announces appointment of new Veterans Affairs Director

The Laurens County State Delegation is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurens County resident, Dale Williams, as the new Laurens County Veterans Affairs Director.
A United States Air Force veteran with 23 years of progressive leadership experience, Dale Williams brings an extensive background in personnel management, regulatory compliance, program operations, budget administration, veteran advocacy, and interagency coordination to the position. Throughout his military career, Mr. Williams held leadership positions at locations across the United States and overseas, including assignments in England, Florida, Pakistan, South Carolina, Italy, Arizona, and South Korea.
His extensive experience working directly with service members also includes counseling Airmen on careers, benefits, professional development, and the transition from military to civilian life. Mr. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics, with minors in Safety and Management, from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, as well as an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
“Mr. Williams brings a tremendous combination of military leadership, personal experience as a veteran, and a genuine commitment to helping service members and their families,” said Delegation Chairman Representative Mark Willis. “We are confident that his experience and dedication will be a tremendous asset to the veterans of Laurens County.”
As Veterans Affairs Director, Mr. Williams will oversee the county’s efforts to connect veterans, surviving spouses, dependents, and beneficiaries with the benefits and services they have earned through military service.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to serve the veterans of Laurens County,” said Dale Williams. “Having spent 23 years serving our country, I understand the importance of having someone in your corner when navigating the transition from military service and accessing the benefits you’ve earned. I look forward to serving our veterans, listening to their needs, and making sure they know that Laurens County is committed to supporting them and their families.”
The Laurens County Veterans Affairs Office provides assistance with VA claims and benefits, military records, medical enrollment, burial benefits, state and federal veterans programs, and other resources available to veterans and their families.
Laurens County welcomes Dale Williams to the position and looks forward to his leadership and service to the county’s veteran community.
