Laurens District 55 sophomore Logan Bragg named Touchdown Club Player of the Week

The Laurens County Touchdown Club is proud to announce that for the opening week of the South Carolina High School football season, August 21st, the Player of the week is Laurens District 55 High School sophomore quarterback Logan Bragg.

Logan is a sophomore quarterback for the Laurens District 55 High School Raiders and helped lead the Raiders Friday night in their 43 – 34 win against J. L. Mann High School in the lightning-delayed season opener for both teams.  A long pass from QB Logan Bragg set up the game winning TD with 40 seconds to play in the Greenville, SC contest.

Logan Bragg had an outstanding night for the Raiders at the helm of the offense.  Bragg completed 22 passes on 32 attempts or 358 yards and 2 TDs.  Additionally, Bragg ran for 80 yards on 12 rushing attempts and a rushing touchdown as well. Bragg finished the night with 438 total yards of offense and 3 TDs.  

Head Coach Greg Porter stated, Logan Bragg played an amazing game.  He is only a sophomore that is a leader on and off the field and shows great character and is an outstanding person.

The Laurens County Touchdown Club will honor Bragg on September 3rd at the second Touchdown Club meeting of the year.  The meeting will be at noon at The Ridge in Laurens with Dempsey’s Pizza of Clinton serving the meal and the food service line opening at 11:45 am.  Player of the Week awards will presented in 2026 by Farm Bureau Insurance of Laurens County.

Additionally, the Farm Bureau Insurance ‘Player of the Week’ awards will be presented for the August 21 and August 28 High School football games.

Speaking on Thursday, September 3rd will be new Presbyterian College Head Football Coach Matt Rahl as the Blue Hose prepare to travel to Macon, Georgia to take on the Mercer Bears Saturday, September 5th for a 6 pm kickoff.

The Laurens County Touchdown Club meets every other Thursday throughout the football season at The Ridge located in Laurens at 301 Exchange Road and the public is invited.  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. All meetings are at Noon with the food service line opening at 11:45 am.  

The featured speaker for the Touchdown Club meeting on Thursday, September 3rd will be Presbyterian College Head Football Coach Matt Rahl.  Coach Rahl was appointed the 18th Head Football Coach in PC history.  Rahl holds 24 years of experience as an assistant coach and has been an integral part of PCs success over the past two years.  Hes and individual who values character, accountability, and team culture as much as wins on the field.
