LCSO Inmate Litter Cleanup Report for January and February
March 18, 2023
During the months of January and February, the Laurens County inmate litter cleanup crew picked up 38,780 pounds of trash from Laurens County roadsides.
The following roads were cleaned:
-Taylor Street in Joanna
-Patterson Plant Road
-Dump site near ZF Transmissions
-Boyds Mill Pond Rd (Cleanup day organized by Keep Laurens County Beautiful, 123 bags picked up. Thank you Laurens County Probation and Parole for your participation.)
-Park Road
-Liberty Church Road
-Garrett Street
-Choctaw Street
-Swygert Street
-Fuller Road
-Templeton Road
-Medical Ridge Road
-Pine Ridge Road
-Hurricane Church Road
The Sheriff’s office appreciates the citizens who submit problem areas for cleanup. As part of the litter prevention program they set up cameras in dump location s and sift through dump sites to find identifying information. When offenders can be identified, they get fined, go to jail, and/or have to complete community service.
