LCSO Inmate Litter Crew Contributes to Community Wide Clean Up

There is a great emphasis on keeping Laurens County clean and the Laurens County Sheriff’s office is helping with their inmate litter crew program.

In the month of June, the inmate litter crew picked up 21,420 pounds of trash. Yes that is TWENTY ONE THOUSAND pounds! Below is a list of the clean up by location:
Lisbon Road- 2980 LBS
Ora Road- 1300 LBS
Charlottes Road- 700 LBS
Garrett Patton Road and Sullivan Road- 1640 LBS
Edgewater Road- 9540 LBS
Boggy Branch Road and Duncan Creek Church Road- 5260 LBS

The Sheriff’s office appreciates concerned citizens who report dump sites and problem areas. It’s also important to note that they don’t just pick up the trash, they also review it for any identifying information. If it can be determined, the individuals responsible for improperly discarding of trash are charged accordingly.If you see something, say something.
